EVENT | DCE Webinars 2026: Tackling Cavity Congestion for Gateway 2 Compliance

IG Masonry Support is joining forces with sister company Keyfix in 2026 to deliver ten DCE CPDs as part of their Building Envelope Series in 2026.

Our National Specification Manager, Marcus Emmerson, will share practical insights on tackling cavity congestion to support Building Safety Act Gateway 2 compliance. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of modern slab-edge cavity challenges, key compliance and co-ordination risks, and how masonry support, fire barriers, cavity trays, and wall ties interact.

The sessions will also demonstrate how a system-co-ordinated approach can reduce risk and improve compliance across your projects. They provide an ideal environment to explore practical solutions and innovations shaping the future of compliant construction.

Specifi’s popular ‘Spec-Talk’ events are back for 2026, and this year IG Masonry Support will be joining forces with our sister company Keyfix at selected locations across the UK and Ireland.

These interactive evenings give architects and industry professionals the opportunity to connect directly with manufacturers through focused 10-minute, face-to-face meetings. It’s an ideal environment for exploring the latest innovations and solutions shaping the future of construction.

EVENT | Brick Works Belfast with IG Masonry Support and Brick & Stone

IG Masonry Support is pleased to collaborate with Brick & Stone and the Brick Development Association (BDA) for the 2025 Brick Works Series – a nationwide programme aimed at fostering dialogue around modern brick architecture and masonry support systems.

The Brick Works Series comprises a number of lively and educational evening events designed to highlight the adaptability and creativity of contemporary brick design. These gatherings also offer professionals a valuable chance to connect with industry peers and earn continuing professional development (CPD) credits.

Each event in the series will include presentations by some of the UK’s leading architectural voices, sharing insights on innovative brick applications in today’s built environment. Attendees can expect to explore the latest trends in brickwork and celebrate the craftsmanship behind cutting-edge design.

With the support of IG Masonry Support and Brick & Stone, the 2025 series will, for the first time, include a stop in Belfast. This event will spotlight inventive brick architecture, honour expert craftsmanship, and explore the environmental advantages of clay brick.

The Belfast edition of Brick Works will take place on Thursday 7th August, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Titanic Distillery. It is open to architects, specifiers, contractors, and anyone with a passion for brick design.

The Brick Works Series offers an exclusive forum for thought leadership, learning, and professional networking. Participants will gain valuable insights into how clay brick continues to shape both the visual and sustainable future of UK architecture.

NEWS | IG Masonry Support champions brickwork excellence at 2025 ABC Awards

IG Masonry Support is delighted to once again sponsor the Association of Brickwork Contractors (ABC) Awards 2025, reinforcing its commitment to advancing skills and excellence across the brickwork sector. 

The annual awards are a celebration of ‘outstanding quality in the brickwork contracting sector’, with the judges evaluating nominees across five categories: Supplier of the Year, Commitment to Training & Development, Project of the Year, Craftsperson of the Year and Bricklaying Apprentice of the Year.  IG Masonry Support will be sponsoring the Commitment to Training and Development category, helping to encourage the builders of the future and assist in the brickwork sector’s continued growth.   

Emphasising the company’s commitment, Scott Denham, Sales Director for IG Masonry Support said: “We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of these awards and partner with ABC who reflect our belief in nurturing talent and driving industry excellence. After much anticipation, the annual Brick Development Association Brick Awards shortlist has been revealed, and we are very proud to learn that IG Masonry Support products feature in seven projects across six categories. 

The Brick Awards celebrate the pinnacle of brick architecture and craftsmanship. Each year, hundreds of projects are submitted by eminent architects, brickwork contractors, main contractors and developers. These projects span a diverse spectrum of creativity, showcasing an array of colors, shapes, and brick types, unfolding across 18 hotly-contested categories.

In its sixth year, the prestigious awards celebrate and reward design excellence in UK architecture and highlight the very best projects across 17+ categories from housing, health, and wellbeing to workplace and cultural projects.

EVENT | IG Masonry Support presents ‘Ministry of Masonry’ at CDW 2023

Join IG Masonry Support as they host the hottest party of Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, Ministry of Masonry.

Clerkenwell Design Week is the UK’s leading design festival and go-to event for architects and interior designers in London. Hosted over three days (23 – 25 May 2023), visitors can explore the world’s leading design brands, undiscovered talent, specially commissioned installations, and brand activations as well as hundreds of design-led events, workshops, talks, parties, showroom presentations, and more.

‘Ministry of Masonry’, hosted by IG Masonry Support – designers and manufacturers of the most practical and advanced range of stainless steel masonry support products and revolutionary brick slip soffit systems – will take place on Wednesday 24th May from 6 pm till late at EH Smith Design Centre on St John Street. The party will invite visitors of Clerkenwell Design Week to relax and enjoy the surrounding design excellence with DJs, saxophonists, and free food and drinks.

Prior to the party, IG Masonry Support will also host a design-led presentation from 5-6 pm exploring how their prefabricated Brick Slip Feature Arches contributed to the success of Radley College Chapel’s recent extension build.
