On Tuesday 1st December, offsite experts arrived at the Inmarsat Conference Centre in London for a ceremony to celebrate to best the industry has to offer.
An IG Masonry Support project; William Street Quarter in Brentwood; was a stand-out recipient of the night winning not only the Best Use of Concrete, but also the Public Sector Project of the Year.
Alfred Hall Monaghan Morris/ Maccreanor Lavington Architects made use of IG Masonry Support System’s brick and stoned clad structural steel lintel, for the second phase of William Street Quarter. This was the first totally privately funded affordable social housing scheme in the UK.
IG Masonry Support Systems was approached to create brick and stone soffits for these family-sized brick terrace houses using an off-site solution that would be easy to install when on site.
The Brick and Stone Soffits were supplied above all door and window openings in the 357 unit development. The product only required pointing once installed.
The structural steel lintel incorporated factory bonded brick and stone slips using IG Masonry Support’s patented bonding system.
IG Masonry Support would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Alfred Hall Monaghan Morris/ Maccreanor Lavington Architects for their wonderful success at The Offsite Awards 2015, and look forward celebrating the offsite industry’s excellence throughout the upcoming year.
IG Masonry Support also sponsored the Housing Project of the Year Award, where leaders and innovators from across the construction sector celebrated the very best industry projects throughout 2015.
