2016 saw our customers help us get crafty with a competition to come up with a name for our very own Craft beer.
The online competition, promoted via ezines and direct mail, had a great response with hundreds of entries submitted via our website. We had great fun reading through all of your ideas and there were a number of fantastic suggestions. After much deliberation and a bit of help from the Association of Brickwork Contractors who cast the final vote the winning name was chosen.
Congratulations to Bryn Lucas from Barratt Homes (pictured with IGMS National Sales Manager Scott Denham) on coming up with the winning name, Son of a Brick.
Our beer has been brewed, bottled and branded and we are delighted with the results.
At IG Masonry Support we are passionate about home grown. In Derbyshire we have some of the best beer manufacturers in Europe. We like beer and we know a lot of our customers do too. That’s why we wanted to develop our own flavour and brand.
Leatherbritches Brewery produced a light coloured pale ale for IG Masonry Support. From all the samples our team tasted we preferred this craft beer with crisp and refreshing flavours. It is very hoppy with citrus tones and a dry bitter finish. This style is very popular at the minute with craft beer enthusiasts and has an alcohol content of 4.7%.
Thank you to everyone who got involved in our #Get Crafty campaign.
