Claire Brave’s the Shave for Macmillan Cancer Support

shaving head for macmillan cancer supportCongratulations to Claire Heyhoe-Russ, Project Administrator at IG Masonry Support who recently took on the ‘Brave the Shave’ Challenge shaving her head to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Claire explains why she decided to take part in the challenge and raise funds to help people affected by cancer.

“I decided to take part in the Brave the Shave challenge after two of my very close friends were diagnosed with breast cancer within 2 weeks of each other, while another friend who has fought and beat cancer, is still currently going through treatment. Also following the loss of other friends to cancer, I felt compelled to do something.”

“During the challenge I felt fine. My friends were very emotional & there was a strange feeling in the air as I think it made everyone think of lost ones and those currently going through treatment.”
